@bzdr I believe there is a mistake that you and many people are making. It's you think the human will be eliminated from the process entirely or that for some reason we will all stop pursuing art. Unless the AI becomes like a human it will always take humans to get anything meaningful out of them.
Sure people flooding Artstation or whatever and drowning these sites in a pool of mediocre AI nonsense is pretty dubious morally at best, but I do think this is the result of the novelty of this tech. We will get bored with the shit we see currently. People haven't even seen the really awesome shit that might be possible. That's why I think wanting to squash this is so, i guess reactionary almost?
Look there is tons of this shit on deviantart or where ever and most of it is utterly boring, uninteresting derivative stuff. I find myself drawn still to human art. Because the art resonates with me like it does with whoever made it. Like, you cant get rid of artists that easily. That's so dumb. That ignores the entire reason we do it. I recently used midjourney to get an image and my immediate desire was to make it better and recreate it. In other words inspiration. Are people going to be replaced? Sure. Are things going to change? Sure. Is there risk? Yes. We are too focused on our fears. That is not a good guide through this.
