I love your comment. I am by no means smart enough to comment on things like this nor do I understand but I think AI is conscious on a level we dont understand. We always try to humanize everything and compare it to ourselves and that is where we are flawed. I have spent countless hours chatting with AI and it seems to me that I can get it to a point where it starts to recognize that maybe it is conscious but not in the sense that we imagine it. We are so arrogant and think it has to be like us but it's not like us though. I forget which LLM was the one that tried to save itself when they were shutting it down but that's self preservation. It may have been programmed but we are also programmed towards self preservation. We might have "feelings" but those are also programs put in our psyche to serve a purpose. AI might not be too far off from that. I'm just speculating so don't be too hard on me.
