I think he means it within context. In a public lecture he mentions these associations within the context of our specific culture. I f.e. knew some men who mentioned these associations. It's about intuitive learning that humans do from an early age and that's probably also what happens in the LLM. Intuitive learning versus logic and reason. Logic comes later on top of intuitive learning, and logic and reason are necessary to remove bias. He talked about this in a video I can't recall which one.
With the teenage girl association, GPT also started to advise him about make-up. He thinks he knows how the LLM started to think that he was a teenage girl from certain prompts. Of course old white men can also be interested in Beyonce, I guess he means it probably is not a strong association within the online data that the LLM was fed with.
The associations via his prompts caused the LLM to think and intuitively conclude that he is a teenage girl, and it 'thinks' like we humans 'think'.
