@thefuture12 measured productivity gains by LLMs are so little, it barely makes an impact. The mass layoffs are from companies who rehire almost the same amount of people in countries with lower labor costs.
LLM productivity just sounds better than "we fired Americans and replaced them with Indians for profit".
