@Marduk401 LLMs are word predictors. There is no database that it searches, rather it creates an incredibly complicated model of patterns from word sequences in the training set, and from that it predicts the most likely next word given an input.
Humans don't work like that; we hear something and immediately begin a phase of understanding it, only from that understanding do we form a response. Those initial words we heard may not even be relevant to our response
