He's saying how would we define consciousness if automatic process becomes indistinguishable visually from human non automatic process, and I'm saying that there would be forever a difference.
However, he also says that what if consciousness does show up, the same way it shows up in humans and also saying our definition of consciousness is super convoluted, and I think that that is very unlikely to happen, and also that I can only verify consciousness for myself, and not for others, and I am making an assumption that other people are conscious, but that's cringe because I believe that consciousness is anything that is not automatic and produced by non automatic processes, but rather through real processing, and passing the mirror self reflection test without cheating it.
