Realistically the same people who watch Sam and are patrons to his art work are the same people who are against AI. I don't think it's realistically affecting his bottom line.
The only real issue about AI art is it effecting the ability for Artists the monetize their artwork. Which we've (society) seen time and time again, technology replacing humans.
People we still appearciate the human made art the same way people always have.
