That's not entirely correct. Poisoning data sets does not necessarily prevent AIs from being poisoned in the future. Adversarial training is more about finding ways to circumvent this, rather than a uniform method that can easily circumvent all such attacks. There are ways and means to circumvent different types of attacks, but this costs resources. Either way, it makes it more difficult and time-consuming for deep learning algorithms.
