People not creating AI need to actually understand what Machine learning is in the first place (if something is too complicated for someone to understand immediately theyll find someone that they can understand and assume that they are correct regardless of the absolute lack of any expertise in the field i.e. looking to terminator as an analogy .... if you think the immediate risk of ai is that we will have smart robots taking over the world then i seriously worry for you)
