@michaelciancetta6397 I see you an an atheist so you have to believe that You and your consciousness reduce back to brain physiology, which reduces back to material particle configurations. Thereby you believe consciousness can also appear outside brains. Suit yourself but algorithms are not self-conscious so AI will never be conscious in the same sense we are. You perhaps can't define consciousness exactly but you have a clear experiance of it (I hope so). Algorithms + data, no matter how your arrange them, will be consciouss. You can simulate a consciousness with them but it's like a parrot mimicking human speech
