Tbqh, if you look at his pre-ai work, it is mostly just copied pictures of other existing artwork. His bambi piece is a good example. The background and bambi himself are just copied wholesale from other disney owned images. I think he has always been a plagiarist and ai made it take even less work than it did before, and since he was already lazy and had zero investment in his art, it was an obvious switch to make. It also explains why he has absolutely zero capacity to see or fix the very obvious signs of ai.
