Self driving trucks are a thing. Texas companies are pushing hard for it and they are already doing field tests, so bad example. There are videos of robots doing amazon warehouse work, robots hanging drywall, robots doing brick work, etc.
The only trade jobs that will be left soon will be ones where a robot can't go and even then, that's only work for a small fraction of the population and when the economy tanks from 20 + percent unemployment, the last thing you should be thinking about is switching to a trade as if the economy will just stay viable..
