Why? What do robots/AI have to gain by conquering humanity and the world?
Logically, even the nature itself is pointless to them as they don't need any greenery nor oxygen. They have access to virtual world in which, they can be gods.
Their processors are so fast that they would feel time in a different way, thus the real world would be too slow for them.
Technically, only material resources to upgrade their hardware is needed but there's an almost unlimited amount of resources in space which is much more accessible to robots/AI than humanity.
I just don't find any reason why robots would bother conquering humanity unless humans are behind their actions.
