I feel the same way. It's soul crushing. I can't imagine a day I haven't at least painted a little bit before to develop the skill, but I can't find any motivation now. Everytime I think about painting now I don't know why I should even bother. My works feels worthless when I can just create something in Midjourney in seconds that looks better than if I invest so many hours.
The journey of developing the skill or getting positive feedback in commissions was so much to me, but it feels obsolete now.
Thinking about all the time blood and sweat I put into it it now feels like I wasted years of my life.
