I think they'll have to purpose AI to try and resolve a range of problems before it can dominate manufacturing production processes...
Electric energy production being #1...discovery of new materials/processes will be required e.g. graphene has great potential but hardly realised yet...rare earth minerals are essential and a bit problematic.
But it's already hitting white collar jobs that are rules based/process driven jobs.
