I'm a programmer, not an artist, but I view art as being a manifestation through creation by a sentient being, I dont count how "good" the piece is as factor on whether or not its art, as long as a sentient being used their own hands (or equivalent) to create a piece based on an idea, its art. This can include AI in the future if it ever becomes sentient, but these current statistical models dont resemble true intelligence in the slightest, its just linear algebra
