@Speaker-Beater You're exaggerating. Nobody wants AI? Seriously? You do realize that AI doesn't mean just pretty generated images, music and text? It means automatic cars, planes, and most important robots. The people won't "rebel", because the vast majority understands this is inevitable. Let's assume an entire country will "go against AI", and force the politicians to ban AI and everything AI related. Even if a country will ban AI, many others won't, and they will prosper while the one that banned AI will lag behind, further and further behind. You may argue that "people will lose jobs", and yes, AI and robotics are specifically designed to replace people, especially at work. That is the point of these technologies. The end goal. Few people understand what a "robot" is. The word itself means "to work", in Russian/Slav languages. Robota means "work" and "robot" means "worker". These are "Artificial Workers", nothing more. They are created to Work, and that is their purpose of being. AI and Robots will replace a huge part of today's "work", both "in the office" and "physical". That is why they call it a "revolution", because it will "revolutionize" the entire human society and the world. Imagine being at the start of the Industrial Revolution and thinking "we should rebel against these steam engines, and oil engines, and cogs, and gears, and electricity, and giant factories, and spinning propellers and wheels! They cause nothing but trouble, accidents, pollution and they replace people by mechanization and automation. Well, guess what. You are typing on a computer like device, post on a digital inter-net, powered by electric power, steam turbines and cogs. Everything we do now and everything we have now was unheard of 200 years ago. That will happen again after the AI revolution. A complete transformation of the entire world, and it cannot be stopped, or delayed. It is non-negotiable and already determined. There is absolutely nothing you or anyone, can do to stop it. We will have AI-powered everything, and Robots in less than 15 years from today. Oh, and another thing. If we don't focus on managing the transition, and keep complaining and pushing for bans or other trivial things, the transition will still happen but without our input and it may be worse for us. So instead of "ban the clankers" we should say "make the clankers safe, affordable and human-friendly. Don't create a new class of AI-overlords vs the rest. Don't hoard the AI power for giant corporations and don't keep the robots just in factories to produce for the already rich few. Democratize AI, allow all of us free or reasonable access to AI and to robots and make sure they won't be used against us, or in wars (already too late for that)."
