i used AI image generation for like...a few months back in 2022 to get background ideas (backgrounds are something i struggle with) when it still looked like melty eldritch horror (still does but in a less cool way), i thought it was kinda cool....at first, until it started turning into what it is now and when i started hearing that it stole from real artists, and before even knowing about the environmental impact i stopped using it because that already overstepped a boundary for me. i still feel shame for having used it _at all_ ever despite me not knowing about what it'd become or how bad it likely already was back in 2022
