@HiddenRainbowsart You misunderstand how the technology works. I totally agree with most of your points! If you're learning off someone's style and you make art that's similar to them, then it makes sense to credit them or to ONLY use it for learning but not selling. The same can be said with AI Art. If you're using it to learn someone's style, then you should be giving credit for it. It'd be morally wrong to do that and then claim it as your own if you're producing things very similar to what you've learned on. The same applies to humans, just like you said. However, AI Model's like Stable Diffusion's 1.4/1.5/2.0/2.1 models don't do this at all. You can't reproduce any of the images in it's dataset. Why? Because none of those images are stored on the models and each image is only the size of like 2 bytes of data, FAR too small to replicate anything. It creates completely transformative works that are completely unique. There is an exception for very famous pieces like the mona lisa, but even then with 1000's of images in the dataset, it can only produce something kinda similar. It's not illegal. And it's incredibly dangerous to push for stricter copyright because that will only hurt small artists and benefit large corporations. Can you image a world where style was copyright? It will be a NIGHTMARE for smaller creators. EVERYONE should be against that.
