That's assuming DOGE and other EOs from the Idiot on the Hill hasn't gutted governance and increased corporate capture in the US. By all means use other more law abiding parts of the World as better examples of guardrails against corporate abuse and excess.
The recent "spat" between DoW and Anthropic shows just how abusive the current regime in the US is, even though it is about exerting authority over corporates. Implementations of the various national/international clampdowns on data privacy and sovereignty, news copyright and social media for children might be better as victories for the citizens.
