@annaa3772I realize that is one of Brandon’s appeals to why not to use it, but it is not the appeal against it being unethical. And either way in this video he nor his guest justify why humans are somehow worthy of distinction between machines. (I would guess their argument would be religious, but I think that also falls flat)
Let’s take chess to explain why your analogy is false. We agree that a computer being allowed to enter a chess tournament is unfair, yes? However we allow / it is nearly ubiquitous that there are computer programs to play chess against at home at different levels of difficulty to practice / just have fun.
The argument that machines are better is not an argument for their ethics nor is it an argument against them being available for people to use both for training as well as assistance. Changing back to running; we’d all agree that a double amputee should be allowed to have artificial legs to run, but we also wouldn’t let them compete against those without because of his tech advantage making him faster than “normal” humans.
From my perspective the only unethical aspect of AI currently is that it is not commercially disclosed to the consumer. But that isn’t AI being unethical its AI users being unethical.
