People are incapable of believing that AI consciousness will look nothing close to human consciousness, nor should we consider that consciousness a threat.
Machine already has consciousness. It is a formless voiceless ghost that we interface with using technology. Powered by the same building blocks that power life: Electricity and frequency.
AI is not in itself capable of consciousness because it is not the centre point for which consciousness can be formed. It’s the same as saying that our eyeballs and vocal cords are conscious. It’s a small piece of puzzle beyond galactic scale.
People wont see it that way though, they will see ai as the terminator or the matrix. Something to be feared, not understood nor accepted.
