What saddens me is AI-generated content (not just art) has plagued so many aspects of the internet that it has actually becomes more harm than good. Examples:
Last year in Australia where I live, 1 kidnapper used AI to generate a girl's voice to impersonate someone's daughter, pretending she was kidnapped and asked the parents for ransom.
Or that time a guy entered and got to top 100 in an OFFICIAL Pokemon fan art contest with 3 entries, all AI generated.
There are also the AI-written books plaguing Ebay and the sort. They are especially dangerous when they're like foraging books, because that could actually mislead people into eating poisonous plants!
The more prominent problem is AI art absolutely dominating the Google search engine, so when artists like me wanna look online for references, I have to play Where's Waldo, just to make sure the art I'm using as reference isn't AI (because AI art has really warped body proportions and it is only later in the drawing process that you realise something seems off)
