therubberninja I'm not sure that it is stealing. We need to understand ai better or apply it better because your statement, if you think about it, means that anyone who saw the Mona Lisa and was inspired by it is also stealing work.
Clearly there have been cases of work being actually stolen, I am no expert on the topic, just my own experience.
Imitation and inspiration for me are fine
AI producing the art is fine
The tool removing the hard part when I have an idea I can't execute with my skills is helpful
Clearly the tool needs some boundaries but the argument is always one of possession and gatekeeping when I always believed art was expressive and open and a thing to be shared.
