​@BlueItulips AI doesn't steal. AI literally learns to associate words with visual patterns in the same way as humans do. The AI "steals" during training just as much as a human steals art by copying the style of an artist they like. Guess what, every weeb who drew anime fan art "stole" art by that logic. AI also isn't creating a collage of the works it has been trained, but uses a denoising algorithm: You give the AI a random noise pattern (usually generated by a pseudo random number generator), and give it a prompt, the AI adjusts certain neural weights via this prompt and attempts to "denoise" the noisy image. You literally tell it "hey, there's »my prompt« in this image, but I've added noise to it. Remove the noise". That's all it does. in fact, the generated images look similar to a certain artist when that artist is all the AI is ever trained on. Just like a weeb drawing fan art. Training the AI on MORE data would actually reduce that effect. Secondly: None of your property has been stolen. You are still in possession of all your works, your still in possession of all your tools, your computer etc. none of that disappeared. Literally the only thing you could argue that has been "taken away from you" is the money other people "could have given you" in exchange for art. But here's the catch: you are not entitled to other people's money. It's their money, until the moment they tell you to make art for them and they actually pay you. That's literally my point: Artists dislike AI because they know that it's gonna be harder for them to churn out badly drawn porn for money. They want to retain the status quo, which is: "Hey you, porn addict! Yea, I'm the only one who can provide you with that porn you crave, so gimme your money!!!"
