@eraserheadgenderYeah pretty much. Hence why i call it the 'fast food' of art. I think fundamentally its going to take away a lot of money and job opportunities from artists and i can underatand their frustration. The only real 'optimal' career paths that i can think of for an artists is 1. A digital designer and 2. An animtor. And both of those careers rely heavily on technology. My question is WHEN will ai reach the point to where i could be a proficent animator, i have no doubt the corporate overlords at design would leap at the opportunity to make dozens of ai animated movies in a matter of a few days rather then employ hundreds of animators to work on it over months to years. I have no doubt AI will reach that point, i mean hell it kinda already has, look at all of the crappy ads that mobile game ads use for AI instead of hiring an animator. On the other hand if you think about it technology has always put people out of a job one way or another.
