The only jobs that should ever be automated are the ones that leave those performing them dreading the start of each workday, and even then, only after some provision is made for those who will be displaced, and some thought is given to the question of how else these people will be able to contribute to Society.
Greed and laziness are vices, not anything that a civilization should ever be built around. Will some already rich guy miss out on the opportunity to get even richer if strict limits are placed on the development of AI, and enforced with a level of ruthlessness that should put an end to any edgelording on the topic? I suppose so, but boo hoo hoo. Life will go on for him, even if his dreams of becoming a trillionaire never come true.
I'm not going to say "don't worry," because the world is currently run by unmotivated, overcompensated simplet0ns and overrun by their t0adies, but for what it's worth, the creative professionals you worry about won't be standing alone. Aside from a relative handful of people who seem more than a little nuts (eg. Marvin "please disassemble my brain for uploading purposes" Minsky), just about the entirety of the STEM community will stand with them.
Technology is only a good thing when it makes life better for deserving people. Not when it enables unthinking, unfeeling greed.
