And the fact that AI is still shit at real jobs. Companies that jumped on the hype train and fired their fleshy workers are now regretting it. AI still makes too many mistakes, hallucinates too much, and the human hours to crosscheck AI mistakes ended up more costly than simply hiring another human.
Not to mention AGI is still nothing but a pipe dream. Current AI are just a specialist AI slapped with another specialist AI. That is a dead end. You can't just slap more and more specialist AI and hope one day it'll become a generalist AI. LLM is not the path to generalist AI, but no one is willing to admit it at this point. There's too much money sunk in to back down now.
