That's what people said about SB1047, a bill that in no way whatsoever affected the open source community or small businesses or startups. We most need to be concerned about frontier AI systems, which can only be developed by corporations with billions of dollars. Open source can eventually become dangerous as the technology gets more and more efficient, but one thing at a time.
