@andyranimations Ok so, I feel like you have two main arguments: 1. Why influence AI with techniques like inpainting, you just need better prompts. (WEAK) 2. Claiming AI generated images as your own is theft. (VERY STRONG) Those techniques like inpainting, controlnet, ipadapter, etc are not going away for awhile. Image generation is limited by (A) Training Data (B) The way language is broken into tokens (C) The way the model interprets those tokens. So in the scope of image generation, these techniques bridge that gap and set their work apart from typical AI slop. The only way to acquire full prompt adherence is if theoretically, AI could read our minds directly. But what sets artists apart is their ability to genuinely and effectively capture that imagination already, taking into account their personality, culture, themselves. I suggest doubling down on your ethical positioning, because I think it's coming from a good place. You need experience if you're going to make claims like "Make better prompts". I mean no offense, it's naive, and that's fine. AI is deceivingly impressive, it's not a silver bullet. Defend the artists, but be realistic about what you're defending them from.
