Define mundane. I know, its not so hard but, see, people derive meaning from a multitude of places, even in the mundane so is it a benefit? When 'tools' are developed that include 'existential threat' are introduced, I'd posit that there is no benefit. AI is learning from its human parents and because of that, it's learning to understand empathy but not as a thing to create in itself a complete psyche, but rather how to best manipulate such emotions towards an end to its own goals. We're cooked.
