See this is part of the problem; you're assuming every artist online is aiming to make money from it, you're thinking in terms of a seller and a buyer. When we first started putting our art online there was no way to make money on it; a lot of people (most honestly) post art not as their job. People make art to deal with their grief, to work through personal problems, to express their love of beautiful things. Portraits of their family members, themselves, their pets...and then Midjourney and OpenAi scrapes those things a for profit project. This is a really callous and simple worldview, like, you're saying 'the customer is always right!' about really personal stuff that many people never intended to be part of a for-profit project.
