Technical training should long have had more emphasis in schools and the curriculum long before AI became an issue. As someone currently in technical college, the material cost of maintaining facilities and supplies is a major reason why schools are still 99% academic in teaching. Lack of investment, government foresight, commitment to service industry has ruined young people’s prospects and self realisation.
