Just because there's increased AI activity online, you don't think reality coexists to have any authentic human involvement in it's usage? Make's no sense. It isn't about "pressure" to improve it. There's infinite INCENTIVE to improve it to shape or distort public opinion. That's about the most powerful tool you can have. Look at the incidents of people using it to take down people politically or professionally in the near future.
