Something I am wondering about is, do the autonomous cars used by UBER have some form of monitor that is connected to the LIDAR system?
Is it possible that the driver of the car was smiling in amazement of the technology?
Although it is true that something was not working as it should from the car and drivers points of view. I also think the headlights were not bright enough to see further down the road.
I agree that the pedestrian was partly to blame, I do not think they’re the only one. I think the driver of the car was either looking at some kind of monitor, or their phone.
Which brings up the question, was the LIDAR even working? Or was it making too much noise that it had been deactivated or something?
