the ai doesnt "take inspiration" it just TAKES. again, the quality is not the issue, its the fact that this guy is supporting a machine thats long term goal is to replace people who actually put effort into their work, what if it was the other way around? What if i got an ai to write a whole story for me and i only make the drawings? If you dont think you could enjoy that then i believe you can understand why i cant enjoy the reverse. It steals from us and frankenstines what it takes together to form what is just an amalgamation of stolen ideas, it doesnt make something new from what it takes, its just melting the things that it takes together. And it is not a form of art. Generative ai does not make art. If you tell someone to put together a puzzle you havent made art. You,ve got someone to put together the peices of someone else's art. now imagine instad of just a puzzle, this person is taking chunks of other people's puzzles without asking and then putting all of those together. You didnt make that, it didnt make that, combining peices of stolen imagery together doesnt make art. So if your willing to let this thing continue to slowly wittle down the freedom of expression for others instead of just picking up the pen i dont know what else to say.
