I agree with everything you’ve stated. However, one important thing to note is that previously Tesla’s used to ship with LIDAR sensors as well and it was removed from all models subsequently (as a cost saving measure presumably) and I’d say it’s quite reckless on Tesla’s part to not include a safety measure that could work in conjunction with the cameras until the camera machine learning algorithms improved further. The examples given in the videos could have benefited from having LIDARs and deaths could have been prevented.
Also, my personal opinion is this video is such a biased one sided take on the issue and comes out as a hit piece on Tesla and negates the benefits of autonomous driving.
