Yeah… If the AI bussines were actually interested in making the world a better place, they would have began with using the AI to actually solve macroeconomic and social issues that exist. They’re not. It’s mostly bs chat bots (actually not real AI) dumbing up people, and AI to help the shareholders become richer (although that can have some positive effects, because not all sharholders are like the plutocrats in government, and because “positive effects” sells… but in the US it’s today mostly about greed). But this is also why AI is a huge bubble. Because if AI makes people unemployed, there becomes less consumers that can afford to buy the goods and services that AI helps to produce. As will this also mean that less money is put in retirement savings, and hence the stock market won’t grow… at least not for the same reason why it currently grows (the stock market’s current main, almost sole, purpose is to provide money to people’s retirement… the rich becoming richer is really just a side effect).
