How do you unplug the internet?
That's possibly going to happen once an AI sees the benefit of attaining additional resources. But without the internet the world will suffer immensely - supply chains will fail, supermarkets will empty, banking ceases, electricity grids will fail - the list is endless.
Not just the internet - to turn of an AI that cannot be contained, means turning off every computer it could occupy.
