It's not a fraud, college and universities have been around for hundreds of years, way before AI. Degrees stopped being worth less ever since neoliberalism gained a foothold in the west and governments have been doing everything to make shareholders richer and richer, with little care for employers. This will be the most extreme version of it. If most countries had a similar tax system to those in the 60s, college degrees would still be worth it. And if one can afford to have one that doesn't get you a job, it can still be worth it in other ways.
