Well, they often trick beginners into leaving skill and practice behind and get reliant on the multi-billion dollar companies and their for their own creativity, their kitsch causes you to distrust whether an art has been in fact drawn by the artist instead of just appreciating it, it is more degrading to the environment (300k pencils per one tree vs 3m gallons water for one data center plus noise pollution and power grid load), their companies scrape art without consent of the creator, and the product lacks the micro-decisions made by the subconscious to be considered a reflection of the human experience that is art. No one deserves death threats, but unethical actions must be criticized.
Also, photography just captures a moment already set up by the photographer/director rather than making the scene and digital artists don’t have tools that do the small decisions for them, so comparing AI to these professions is a fallacy of false equivalence.
