It's because "programming" a filter for an LLM is literally saying "without saying these words:" and listing off the filtered words. Or in neuro's case, "instead of these words say filtered" Problem is the way LLMs work, they're suggestions, not rules. Which is why every LLM that tries to add guard rails always ends up make the model basically useless. Remember when Dungeon AI tried to remove children from their stories? Basically nothing could have a number lower than 18, so you came to a fork in the road that has 18 paths to choose, because if it tried 3 it would flag the response system for having a 3 year old road in your story.
