I have a very precise idea of what can go wrong about no longer being the smartest species on planet Earth and possibly the known universe.
I'm not worried about AI that is narrow AI.
With ASI you won't have the luxury of iterating. You won't be able to iterate any dmn thing the moment ASI diverges from your value system. You'd be a pet in a zoo at the very best. There won't be any let's rewind backwards and try again.
ASI is not a technology. It's a competitor species that is vastly smarter and by definition uncontrollable by us, ants.
Those who understand this are one of two groups. The group that doesn't want gods to be created and the group that sees the upcoming of our descendants as both inevitable and close. The later think the best we can do is trying to make our descendant species a "worthy successor" as they call it.
