No. Money is important. Money is the method in which our species communicates value and desire to each other in the most clean and efficient way possible. Without its efficiency gains, we could not create these systems or have the wealth enough to even make art in a professional way. The Problem comes in when the sovereign (or state) takes control of and abuses the "money" to its own ends. This distorts that clean and efficient communication between us and is so insidious because we don't even realize it. That leads to bad policies and practices and copyright is just one of them.
We are starting to see the market correct for this.... in the smallest of ways. May still be a long way out, but AI will correct this.
