In terms of mass produced disinformation i would agree that regulation could be helpful. Yet i dont know how that would work, even now most checkers and filters already also use AI to detect wrong information or filter out certain content, basically ai oversees ai generated content. Also for clarifacation, because i think you interpreted consumer as someone who uses ai to generate art. By consumer i mean the person consuming the art, basically the viewer of the art who has nothing to do with its creation. Like in my example me as the player of a video game who sees 2D artworks in it. And from that point of view i dont see any need for regulation that benefits me. So for me I would absolutely acknowledge that human made art is good for the people iven tho its doesnt impact my experience of the art istelf, so i might even support art done by people and decide to pay a bit more for a game thats promotes artist by hiering actual peoples arts. I also own a Fairphone for that reason, because i think its a good thing to support more humane working conditions even if i dont have much benefit from it, but it doesn't need a regulation for me to do that. Im a bit further into the video now and i can completely agree on your point that regulation in general is a good thing. Im from germany and im very happy that we have better regulation than the US in many sectors, even if not perfect. But we also have things that are overregulated so there needs to be a good balance. I can also completely understand the fear of artists, especially newer inexpierienced ones to not get an entry level job because of ai. The problem is that i also dont know how to tackle the problem. While your concern about ip rights of established artists it a valid one, i dont nessercerily see how citing these artists in stable diffusion etc. can help smaller upcomeing artists. In general i think we need to approach the problem of more and more jobs in different sectors becomeing obsolete for various reasons in completely different ways, independet weather the cause is ai or not. But thats something a bit too big to discuss in youtube comments.
