This argument has been used time and time again. When the reality is that there IS a difference. The ai can “study”millions upon millions of images while the young artist you speak can only realisticly study a fraction of what the machine does. Then they use their human brain to interpert and learn from the work that inspires them, and then a new style is born. You are essentially saying that an athlete using steroids to win a game is no different than an ethical athlete winning a game. Also humans have the right to learn from eachother and profit from it because they experience the emotions and nuances of a piece. A machine does no such thing, so why give them the right to learn from human artists?
