@peasmehasselberg975-.-This literally just confirms my comment. Every time I hear this line: I know for a fact they didn't do any research into how AI actually works, and are just parroting talking points. The argument that "AI steals from artists" is popular not because it's accurate to reality, but because it's an excuse to not think about the actual important questions AI art raises.
Art pieces are taken without permission for training sets for AI, and HelloFutureMe made a pretty good argument as to why that's bad. But I somehow doubt that's what you meant.
