@ghostlyethos And when this is the kind of counter argument I receive I am only validated in my opinion. The anti AI side seems incapable of having a reasoned argument.
"an awful little sketch" is by definition, awful, and would have no artistic value. Whether or not it has personal value to someone is irrelevant. If I was to encounter such an artwork that was not produced by my offspring as litter on the street I would rightly throw it in the trash. If it was produced by my kids I would hang it up on the wall, not because I am proud of what they accomplished, but I am proud of the effort they made.
Regarding your second point, that has nothing to do with my argument. Which would you say has more "soul" as you put it. A building designed by a human with hostile architecture, or a building designed by an AI with the intent of being human friendly. My argument is that the homeless spikes are not innately superior simply because a human made them.
