US Copyright can protect your software programs (coding), including AI (it’s registered as a literary work).
However, an actual human has to be the one creating the (art)work to have a valid copyright claim.
Entering prompts into an AI-generator is not a copyrightable expression. With no copyright authorship (human intellect), the generated-AI (creative) work would enter the Public Domain.
