Acording to some engineer friends I know, expecting AI to be in the same level of efficiency and "intelligence" as sci-fi AIs like Hall 9000, Sonny, Ava and more is borderline just that, science fiction. Even in the future it seems that it will never get quite there. So I am not so sure if we will be replaced by robots, specially since people are realizing that the quality is not as good as they imagine it. There is also the matter of what will happen when people who don't have jobs can't be consumers, but that is another story.
